DCS provide outsource scanning, data capture, document management, document conversion and processing services.

Our clients include the National Archives, MOD, Home Office, over 50 local authorities and some of the UK's largest private and public companies.

All outsource services are covered under our ISO9001:2000 procedures which are externally audited on a regular basis. DCS also, where applicable, ensure that our scanning services follow the guidelines of BS BIP0008 for the legal admissibility of scanned documents.

Data Conversion

CAD conversion

We can convert drawings from paper into CAD format. There are options for either automatic conversion or a high quality trace over service which can include structured layering and other work. We support AutoCAD, Microstation and most other formats via DXF.

OCR conversion

DCS have developed our own sophisticated OCR and HTML conversion software which can accurately and cheaply convert large volumes of paper information into electronic form. The files we can supply include MS Office, HTML, SGML, XML, PDF, TXT, Spreadsheets and many more.

PDF conversion

Adobes Acrobat PDF is one of the most popular file formats for publishing technical or highly structured documentation on the web. DCS offer specialist conversion services to this formats including conversion into all varieties of PDF and optional services to optimise them for web distribution.

EDMS Conversion

DCS offer a wide range of data format conversion services from one system to another. We can read most optical disks, WORM drives, CD/DVD's, tape and disc data formats and convert both the image/document files as well as the associated index data.
