DCS appointed National Archives supplier

DCS have recently been appointed as one of a small number of approved suppliers for the scanning of microfilm and photographic negative and film scanning for the National Archives in Kew, West London.

The project will cover a wide range of records scanning for the PRO and will be segmented into different archive study areas such as 'The history of the wheel'.

The originating material is very varied from full plate photographic negatives to microfiche and rollfilms. All of the material needs specialist handling to the PROs own strict standards and then processed into high quality and colour matched replicas of the original filmed documents.
