DCS have sucessfully completed a large scale scanning project comprising thousands of lab notebooks and other research documents for NAPP Pharmaceuticals at their Cambridge UK head office.

Over the years NAPP have accumulated thousands of research notes and lab notebooks relating to their products and to protect this investment in research and comply with business legislation they decided to scan them into digital format and store in an EDM solution.

Lab notebooks are uniquely numbered and contain many charts, photographs and other data and cannot be unbound or altered in any way. This is a major challenge with this volume of data, especially when the information cannot leave the building. DCS solved these challenges by utilising the latest in colour digital book scanning equipment and on-site staff who were degree qualified in pharmaceutical related fields of research.
