Canon introduces CaptureOnTouch for document scanning simplicity

Canon UK, today announced the launch of its CaptureOnTouch software tool to increase user productivity by simplifying the document scanning process.
Canon’s CaptureOnTouch enables users to quickly and efficiently scan documents and automatically send them for storage or distribution where appropriate.

Ease of use is one of the major benefits of the CaptureOnTouch, particularly for users who are unfamiliar with document scanning and electronic data storage.
The software enables two methods of scanning;
‘Scan First’ allows the user to scan a document and then select a preferred file format and destination.
‘Scan Job’ allows the operator to use a pre-configured job button to direct documents to specific workflow files or individual emails.

Canon plan to start bundling CaptureOnTouch with their imageFORMULA DR-2010C / DR-2510C scanners from September, while existing DR-2010C / DR-2510C users will be able to download the CaptureOnTouch software for free from Canon’s website. It is also available on the newly launched imageFORMULA DR-2010M / DR-2510M designed for the Apple Mac market.
